Journalist Dean Jones believes that West Ham would be able to appoint any manager outside of the top bracket.

His comments come amid increasing pressure on David Moyes at the London Stadium following a dismal opening period of the season.

The Hammers are currently 16th in the table and just one point above the relegation zone having lost four of their last five league games.

Arsenal, the current league leaders, are next for the east Londoners on Boxing Day and Moyes’ position appears up in the air.

Claret and Hugh have reported that the 59-year-old is under pressure to turn the side’s form around although his position is safe for now with valuable credit in the bank.

Nonetheless, Jones feels that the Irons wouldn’t be short of candidates should they look to replace the Scotsman.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I honestly think that West Ham could attract almost any manager in the world.

“Take away Pep Guardiola and your very, very best coaches, anyone underneath that I think will be very interested in the West Ham job the next time it comes around, there’s so much going for it.”

TIF Thoughts in Jones’ comments…

Should West Ham sack David Moyes?

As a result of Moyes’ work, ironically enough, the capital outfit have put themselves in a position to call upon the best in the business.

They have finished seventh and sixth in each of the past two seasons, grappling with the league’s big hitters for European football and that will undoubtedly be an attractive proposition for coaches around the world.

Moyes was handed £157m to improve the squad in the summer but they have gone backward despite the highly sought Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca coming in and the hierarchy may be persuaded to hand over the reins to somebody better equipped to get the best out of these higher quality players.
