Tottenham Hotspur right wing-back Djed Spence regularly refreshes his Instagram account amid concerns over his recent removal of everything Spurs earlier in the week.

This has been suggested by the reliable Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold who has been speaking about the English wing-back on his latest YouTube video.

Concerns among some Spurs fans may have arisen earlier in the week as Spence deleted a lot from his Instagram account including his bio and multiple images of him in a Spurs shirt.

Starting with the club's £60m summer signing, which of these players could Richarlison be facing?

And this comes amid his struggles since arriving in north London which has seen the 22-year-old only manage to rack up 26 minutes in a Spurs shirt (via Transfermarkt).

As a result, there will naturally be concerns about his future with the January transfer window on the horizon, but Gold has insisted the Instagram cull is a normal thing for Spence:

(10:00) “I actually asked some people that know him and stuff about that. And apparently, it’s something he’s done a few times in recent years. It’s almost like he has a bit of a purge of his Instagram account and just almost like a reset.

“So yes, while it has nothing about Spurs now, it has nothing about Forest, it has nothing about Middlesbrough. It has nothing about any of his previous teams.

“And I’m told, obviously I haven’t really kept track of it over years gone by because obviously really he’s come to my attention in the last couple of seasons and especially now at Spurs. But what I’m told he’s done it about three times, so I can only go on what I’m told.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

Regardless of whether Spence deleted his Instagram content with this reaction from the fans in mind, it is apparent his lack of game time will be a concern for the young wing-back.

Do you expect Djed Spence to leave in January?

Spence enjoyed a promising spell in the Championship last season which saw Spurs buy him in the summer on the back of, however, it seems he has not gained the trust of Antonio Conte yet.

And if the Englishman is to remain struggling for action under the Italian in the coming weeks when domestic football returns, we feel he will need to leave on loan to get some football under his belt.

It felt as if the game against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup was the perfect opportunity to give Spence his first start for Spurs, but that opportunity passed him by and you do have to wonder where the next chance will come from.
