Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte was not impressed on Sunday with the chorus of boos ringing around the stadium at half-time against Liverpool.
This is according to Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold, who has been speaking about Sunday’s defeat on his latest YouTube video.
It is now back-to-back home defeats in the Premier League for Conte’s men, who entered the break on Sunday chasing a two-goal deficit after Mohamed Salah grabbed himself a brace.
And it was apparent there were growing frustrations among the fans in the crowd as they sent their players into the tunnel with some loud boos.
After the match, Conte said: “If we understand this together, it will be good. Everybody wants to win. I am the first who wants to win. If everybody has time and patience it’s OK, otherwise, we continue this season and we see at the end what happens at the end.”
It is not the first time this has happened in N17 this season, and Gold believes it is something that is now starting to frustrate Conte:
He said: “I know it’s been something that’s been bubbling behind the scenes a little bit with Conte, and I think he kind of finally decided to vent yesterday [Sunday].”

Gold appears to suggest that the fans’ attitude towards the team has been on Conte’s mind for some time – which could potentially be a sign of a strained relationship emerging between the supporters and the manager.
We firmly believe the fans – who pay their hard-earned money – are well within their rights to voice their opinions, and there have definitely been instances this season that have warranted boos.

However, we do not think Sunday was one of them. Were Spurs at their scintillating best in the first 45? No, but they did show a lot of attacking intent which has now been the case in a lot of recent first-half performances.
There were huge appeals for a penalty on Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic hit the woodwork, but sloppy defending handed the visitors the lead.
So there definitely was room for improvement in their first-half display, but we are not convinced it warranted the reception that it did from sections of the fans.
