Presenter and YouTuber Chris Cowlin is not pleased with the Tottenham Hotspur team for failing to applaud the away end following their Carabao Cup defeat.

Antonio Conte fielded a strong lineup as Tottenham looked to make the last 16 of the competition.

However, two goals from Nottingham Forest early in the second half saw the home side seize control of the tie.

It was a disappointing night for the Lilywhites, who had already won 2-0 at the City Ground this season back in August.

But Wednesday night was a frustrating evening for Spurs fans, which was perhaps made worse when just a handful of players were captured showing their appreciation to the visitors’ following support.

It saw Cowlin take to Twitter to post: Most of the Spurs players didn’t even come over to applaud the travelling away support.”

TIF Thoughts on Conte and Tottenham…

Will Spurs finish in the top four?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Considering the fans made around a 270-mile round trip to the east Midlands on a Wednesday evening, the least they deserved was for the side they follow to show their gratitude.

It’s another example of the discord between supporters and the club, with many now calling for Conte to leave due to his unattractive brand of football.

Nonetheless, after back-to-back defeats in the space of four days, the north London club will be hoping to return to winning ways before the World Cup break.

However, it will be interesting to see how the stadium reacts if they fall to defeat against Leeds United on Saturday.
