Journalist Sacha Pisani has urged Newcastle United fans to ‘get excited’ over Garang Kuol after he scored a brace for his current club.
Back in September, the Magpies agreed to a deal with A-League outfit Central Coast Mariners to sign the Australian, who will now join the Premier League club in January 2023.
Still just 18 years of age, many Newcastle supporters probably won’t know a great deal about the talented youngster, but it seems as though he possesses plenty of potential if his latest outing is anything to go by.
Indeed, he managed to score twice – including one stunning effort – in a 41-minute cameo for Central Coast at the weekend.
Pisani shared the footage of one fine strike on Twitter, writing: “Seriously, Garang Kuol. He’s beyond words now.
“Get excited, Newcastle fans!”

Kuol is still a teenager and so he has not played an awful lot of senior football, but he has clearly impressed enough in that time to catch the eye of the Newcastle scouts.
To be fair, they aren’t the only ones to note his special talent. Indeed, the striker will be going to the 2022 World Cup after being called up into the Socceroos’ squad for Qatar.
He may only have the one cap for Australia, but he could improve upon that during the tournament. If so, fans may get to catch another glimpse of their new signing.
He certainly looks like one to keep an eye on.
