Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy has been spotted hard at work amid the World Cup break alongside some other familiar faces.
The Toon are now out of action until their boxing day tip to Leicester City with some of their players representing their nations in Qatar.
However, it appears Murphy is not just sitting on a beach somewhere having been spotted in a recent Instagram post showing him involved in a rigorous training camp.
Murphy has provided one goal and one assist in the Premier League this season but has just 484 minutes of league action to his name so far.
But it appears he is keen to keep his fitness up to scratch during the break after he was captured in a fitness camp alongside Liam Cooper of Leeds United, Ryan Jack of Rangers and his teammate Paul Dummett as the Leeds man reposted this to his Instagram story:
TIF Thoughts on the Instagram post…
Do NUFC need to upgrade Murphy?
This could come at a cost to Murphy with the Newcastle man very much on the fringes of Howe’s matchday squad already with just five starts in the league this season (via Transfermarkt).
However, it appears he is looking to improve over this winter break which will surely delight Howe and, for Murphy’s sake, could potentially see him involved slightly more in the Premier League’s busy Christmas schedule.
