Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is on the radar of a number of top clubs ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

This has been suggested by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who has been discussing the Toon’s plans for the future on the House of Champions YouTube channel.

After a stunning start to the 2022/23 campaign, Eddie Howe’s men are now guaranteed to be in the Premier League’s top four come Christmas.

Since joining Newcastle back in January, Guimaraes has gone on to play 29 times across all competitions in which he has been able to return 11 direct goal involvements.

Which of these United States stars has been linked with the Toon recently?

And although he has been sidelined for a few games this season, he has still been able to provide Howe with three league goals and assists.

But with reports of interest coming from the likes of Real Madrid, Romano believes it would take big money to prise him away from St James’ Park.

He said: “Now, I think if some club wants to sign Bruno Guimaraes – and many top clubs want Bruno Guimaraes – it’s around £80-85m, probably.”

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s comments…

We think a lot of Newcastle fans will not be too worried by Romano’s comments and will feel confident they will be able to keep hold of their star midfielder for a few years to come.

Are you worried about losing Bruno anytime soon?

The Brazilian has certainly been a sensational buy for the Toon, but he has already spoken of his desire to play on Tyneside and become a Newcastle legend:

“There is a long way to go. I love playing here, I love to bond with the fans, and I want to become a legend here,” the midfielder told Sky Sports.

And with the way in which the Toon are heading, we feel there are unlikely to be many clubs who would be able to offer a more appealing proposal than the Magpies.
