Insider ExWHUemployee has revealed that Manchester United will likely be ‘very keen’ on signing Declan Rice amid a recent transfer development.

The player’s future has long been up subject to plenty of rumours, with the Red Devils among those linked with a possible move for the English midfielder over the past few seasons.

In a recent update, Ex confirmed that West Ham United will now listen to offers for Rice in the summer which will probably come as music to the ears of any clubs who have a genuine interest in signing the player.

In more good news for Manchester United, the insider then said on The West Ham Way podcast that he expects them to be keen on signing Rice – comparing the player to legends such as Bryan Robson and Eric Cantona.

He said (11:05): “I think Manchester United would be very keen on him if they can sort out their backroom staff get rid of [Cristiano] Ronaldo, get a bit more of a team there.

“He could be a sort of Robson, you’re Eric Cantona, that kind of player that goes there to try and reboot them. Put him in as captain straightaway, tell him: You are here to rebuild this great side.”
