Sky Sports pundit Paul Robinson feels that Cody Drameh could well leave Leeds United this January.

It comes following an update from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealing that the 20-year-old is attracting some of Europe’s finest.

Romano claimed that Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, alongside Lille and Newcastle United, have identified the right-back as a star for the future and are ‘keen’ on signing him in January.

Drameh has made just two appearances for the club this season and hasn’t been in Jesse Marsch’s matchday squad for the first team since early September.

Speaking to MOT Leeds News, Robinson has stated why the youngster may be willing to move on.

He said: “Marsch isn’t using him at all. He’s barely been in the squad and he wasn’t in the squad at the weekend.

“For him to go there [Dortmund], the important thing would be for him to play. But if he stays at Leeds, he might not play.

“If he’s got the chance to go to Dortmund and play in the Bundesliga every week, it’s a huge opportunity and a far better opportunity than he’s got at Leeds.

“But there’s no point in him going somewhere else to do the same thing he’s doing at Leeds, which is sitting there and not playing.”

Should Leeds sell Drameh in January?

No

The England U21 international enjoyed an impressive loan stint in the Championship with Cardiff City last season and won the club’s player of the season despite joining midway through the campaign.

However, while no one would have expected the youngster to become Leeds’ first-choice right back considering Rasmus Kristensen’s arrival, you would have at least thought the London-born starlet would have received a bit more game time.

Instead, Luke Ayling has kept him out of the squad altogether, and with Marsch seemingly reluctant to give him a chance, we think Drameh could well look for the exit door at Elland Road.
