It seems as if Leeds United youngster Sam Greenwood is keen to stay in his manager’s good books after he displayed just how hard he is working to stay fit in a recent Instagram video.

The Premier League will not return until December 26 now with the World Cup keeping a number of key players away from their clubs over the winter break. However, of course, not all footballers have travelled to Qatar.

Indeed, Greenwood is amongst the Leeds contingent who are not on international duty and will not return to full training until November 28, having been given a little time off.

Despite this, it seems as though the young midfielder has sent a message to manager Jesse Marsch to prove just how determined he is to make a big impact for the Whites after the break

On the player’s personal Instagram account, Greenwood shared a video of himself working hard on an exercise bike in the gym, while other stories showed him going through other workouts like lifting weights.

TIF thoughts on Sam Greenwood and Leeds…

Greenwood isn’t exactly a first-name-on-the-team-sheet player at Leeds just yet. In fact, he has started just one Premier League game all season.

However, he is someone that Marsch has called upon fairly frequently as a substitute. And, most notably, the  20-year-old played a huge part in a recent win against Bournemouth, scoring a providing an assist in just a 36-minute cameo off the bench.

No doubt, Greenwood will be hoping for more starts and minutes in the second half of the season. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that he wants to stay as fit as possible and impress his manager during the current break.
