Presenter Joe Wainman has urged Leeds United to try and sign talented prospect Paxten Aaronson who just so happens to be the younger brother of Brenden Aaronson.
Over the summer, the older sibling joined the Whites’ American contingent after moving from Red Bull Salzburg in a transfer reported to cost £24.7m.
And while he has been establishing himself in the Premier League, it looks as though the younger Aaronson has been catching the eye elsewhere. According to Journalist Tom Bogert, the 19-year-old is set to Eintracht Frankfurt and the Philadelphia Union.
He wrote on Twitter: “BREAKING: Eintracht Frankfurt and the Philadelphia Union have an agreement in place for transfer of US wonderkid Paxten Aaronson, per sources.
Deal around $4m + add-ons + sell-on %. Aaronson, 19, won Golden Ball at Concacaf U20 championships. Medical + finalizing deal next week.”
In reaction to this news, Wainman lamented the fact that Leeds now look likely to miss out on such a top talent despite their obvious connections to the player.
Taking to Twitter, he said: “Seems madness we wouldn’t be all over this.”

Seeing as Bogert dubs Aaronson as a ‘wonderkid’ it’s easy to see why Wainman would be so keen for his side to try and make the deal especially if it is only costing an initial US$4m (£3.48m).
The young American may only be 19 years of age but he has already established himself as a regular in MLS, playing in 40 games for Philadelphia Union, scoring four goals in that time.
With plenty of experience in the USMNT youth set-up too, he could soon follow in his brother’s footsteps and become a fully-fledged international star one day.
