Journalist Beren Cross spotted Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani ‘pitchside’ this weekend chatting with a rival executive.

In their final game before the winter break for the 2022 World Cup, the Whites were left empty-handed as they fell to a 4-3 defeat in north London.

Radrizzani apparently opted to make the trip down south with the Leeds team for their game against Tottenham Hotspur and even took the time to engage in a conversation with Spurs managing director Fabio Paratici.

Cross noted as much in a recent article published by LeedsLive, though he was unable to offer up any details on what the pair may have been talking about.

The journalist said: “Leeds United’s chairman Andrea Radrizzani was pitchside once again for a Whites game. Before the match, the Italian was seen chatting with his compatriot, and Tottenham Hotspur managing director, Fabio Paratici.”

TIF Thoughts on Andrea Radrizzani and Leeds…

While it’s impossible to know exactly what might have been discussed, it’s not unreasonable to ponder whether or not transfers were on the agenda. After all, the January window will open shortly after domestic football returns.

If that was the case, perhaps Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier was a topic of conversation. In the past, the Frenchman has been linked with a possible move to Spurs, as noted by trusted journalist Phil Hay (via LeedsLive).

Of course, seeing as both men are Italian, it may have just been a friendly catch-up between the two with nothing particularly pertinent mentioned.

Even so, it will be interesting to keep an eye out for any rumours between the two clubs in the coming months as something exciting could be just around the corner.

Will Illan Meslier still be at Leeds by next season?
