Leeds United’s Tyler Adams has stated on the club’s Twitter account that the support from the fans has been ‘unbelievable’ since he joined.

Adams joined the club last summer from RB Leipzig for £20 million. However, he’s yet to find the net in the Premier League, but he does play in a much deeper role in midfield.

The stats that do matter is his passing and tackling. He averages four tackles per game and has an 82% pass accuracy, which is solid for someone playing in his first season in England.

Furthermore, he impressed for the USMNT against Wales in the World Cup. Sofascore gave the Leeds man a 7.4 rating for his performance.

When asked what he was thankful for about Leeds, Adams stated: “The city, the fans, unbelievable support that you get. The team helping, how they helped us settle in, find places to live.

“Just basically allow us to do anything on the football pitch.”

TIF’s view on Adams’ comments…

We believe that the Leeds supporters have made Adams feel right at home judging by his comments.

Making the move from the Bundesliga to the Premier League is never easy, but his stats show he’s held his own. At only 23 years old, he can only get better and better.

Despite his age, Adams has played in England, Germany and America, so he’s got quite a bit of experience. Not just that, but he’s amassed 33 caps for the USMNT.

So far in the Premier League, the midfielder ranks in Leeds’ top five players on Sofascore. So his comments would suggest that the fans have helped play a role in his form for The Whites.

Jesse Marsch’s side are 15th in the league and only two points off the relegation zone. So, they’re still in the thick of a relegation battle.

Adams will hope he can play a big part that leads to the club spending another season in the Premier League and continue to feel the warmth of the Leeds fans.
