HLTCO’s Dan Cook has been left very impressed on Twitter after seeing the latest footage to have emerged of Crystal Palace summer signing Malcolm Ebiowei.

Crystal Palace have made a habit of signing exciting young players since Patrick Vieira took over from Roy Hodgson in the summer of 2021, with the likes of Michael Olise, Marc Guehi and Ebiowei having arrived under his watchful eye.

The former two have already established themselves as first-team regulars at Selhurst Park, with Guehi even earning an England call-up. However, it’s been a slow burner for Ebiowei given his age, though he’s recently been turning out – and shining – for the Under-21s.

Ebiowei scored as Palace’s youngsters earned a draw at Arsenal on Monday.

Palace recently shared some footage of the summer signing pulling off some amazing tricks and skills in the opposition’s half which has left Cook stunned as he tweeted: “Malcolm Ebiowei is something else.”

TIF Thoughts on Ebiowei…

Palace managed to bring in Ebiowei over the summer with relative ease given he was signed from Derby County, who were plagued by financial uncertainty at the time as they were relegated to League One.

However, the fact that Palace have also recently opened their state-of-the-art Category 1 academy would have done a lot to convince Ebiowei that the Eagles were the right club for him to continue his development.

After seeing this footage of Ebiowei, many Palace fans will likely be very excited, as Cook is, and want to see what the youngster can do in the first team. And with a Carabao Cup fixture against Newcastle United on the horizon, that could be his chance to shine, having done so in the Championship last season under Wayne Rooney, who labelled him ‘excellent‘.
