Fabrizio Romano has stated on his YouTube channel that Chelsea are ‘absolutely’ in the race for Palmeiras star Endrick.

The Brazilian is only 16-years-old, but he’s already making an impact in the league. He’s got four goal contributions in seven appearances.

With those kind of stats at that age, it’s no wonder Chelsea are interested in signing him. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also linked with him according to Romano. So, it means they’ll be plenty of competition for his services.

He won’t come cheap either, in his video, Romano stated that the player has a release clause of around €60 milli0n.

Here’s what he said in regards to Chelsea’s interest in Endrick, “Palmeiras have release clause of 60 million euros ready for Endrick.

“Paris St-Germain are still there, Chelsea absolutely, Real Madrid are still there with a great relationship with his agents, so the race is open.”

TIF’s view on Romano’s comments…

We believe that it’s a very steep asking price for someone who is only 16-years old.

His stats are very impressive for such a young talent, but for Chelsea, it would be a massive gamble. The Blues could use that money elsewhere.

Graham Potter’s side are currently eighth in the league, which is simply not good enough. When you look at where they need to strengthen, they could really do with some more attackers.

Christopher Nkunku, is set to arrive at the club at the start of July, according to a report. Another report states owner, Todd Boehly has reassured Potter the deal will be finalised soon.

However, they could really do with him now. The Blues are the seventh lowest scorers in the league, they need a new forward as soon as possible to turn that shocking statistic around.
