Journalist Charles Watts has stated that he expects Shakhtar Donetsk winger and Arsenal target, Mykhailo Mudryk to leave the club.

Watts spoke on his YouTube channel about what the future holds for the 21-year-old. However, there are a number of clubs interested in Mudryk, not just the Gunners, per one report.

Those clubs include Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain. So, clearly Mikel Arteta’s side have some tough competition.

Mudryk gave an interview not long ago with Vleda Sedan, where he made it clear he had his sights set elsewhere.

Here’s what Watts had to say about the status of the wide man, “I can’t see Mudryk, the way that he’s been talking the way that his agents been talking. He knows he wants to move now this is a time for him to move. I think they’re both going to be putting quite a lot of pressure or Shakhtar to sell. I’m not saying it’s going to be all Arsenal by any means.

“He’s a player. Clearly they like and is on the agenda but he’s on the agenda of an awful lot of clubs.

“Very, good player, very exciting player, a player I rate massively myself.”

TIF’s view on Watts’ comments…

We believe that it’s clear Mudryk wants a move. However, it’s up in the air where the 21-year-old will end up in the future.

For Shakhtar, he’s been immense so far this season. In the league he has 13 goal contributions in just 12 matches, a fabulous return. He’s in the top 99 percentile for non-penalty goals and in the top 98 percentile for assists (FBref).

However, it’s not the only aspect of his game that is spectacular. Mudryk is in the top 97 percentile for completed dribbles completed and in the top 42 percentile for progressive passes received.

So, it’s clear the winger can score and assist, but also dribble with ease and makes himself available to help his team progress forward.

Time will tell on the fate of Mudryk. However, what we do know is whoever is able to get the wide man signed, will most likely reap the benefits of his talent.
