Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Real Madrid are pushing hard to sign Brazilian wonderkid Endrick from Palmeiras.

The 16-year-old has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs including Paris-Saint Germain and Chelsea, but Los Blancos are also in the fight and may consider themselves the most likely suitors.

Speaking on The Here We Go Podcast, Romano claimed that Real Madrid are now pushing hard for the attacking phenomenon, and are definitely in the race.

“Keep an eye on Real Madrid. I’m told Real Madrid are pushing a lot in the last few days, so Real Madrid are absolutely in the race for Endrick. They want to try and try again,” Romano stated.

“The race is definitely open, Real Madrid are definitely in the race for one of the best talents in the world.”

TIF thoughts on Endrick…

The teenage sensation is very highly rated in Brazil, and has nine goals in his 14 senior appearances for Palmeiras, but at 16 he is still remarkably young.

With a lot of pressure on his shoulders given the hype surrounding him, he has to pick his next move wisely as it could help shape the rest of his career.

Real Madrid have had a lot of recent success with the young Brazilians they have signed, with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo thriving at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Florentino Perez is clearly keen on investing further in the club’s future.

Other Brazilian wonderkids such as Reinier Jesus have also moved to Madrid for big fees directly from Brazil, and even if they don’t find success competing for a spot at arguably the biggest club in the world, they will be well-placed to find another move to a top club.

“I’ve been following Endrick a lot. During the time I was training at the Academy when I was coming back from injury, Zé Roberto introduced us. Then I saw him on the field… Wow, he’s a star! Phenomenon!” Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus recently stated to ESPN Brazil about the young striker.

With the whole of Brazil watching his development with keen interest, it will be a huge statement of intent from whichever club successfully secures his signature.
