Tottenham Hotspur have now suffered an injury setback to Dejan Kulusevski who did not feature on the weekend.

This is what the reliable Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold has suggested when breaking down Saturday’s win on his latest YouTube video.

The Swedish winger has now missed a handful of games for the north London club having picked up a hamstring issue in the recent international break.

It seemed as if Spurs had been handed a Kulusevski injury boost last week after the 22-year-old made his return to first-team training ahead of the game against Everton.

However, Gold believes he has now been hit with a setback which could see his return pushed back even further with a trip to Manchester United on Wednesday:

(21:45) “And I wonder whether Richarlison’s injury and Deki [Kulusevski] still not really being back. He had a bit of a setback on Thursday with his injury return. So 3-5-2 might be there to stay for a little bit.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

Kulusevski has certainly been a miss for Spurs with Richarlison failing to open his account for the Lilywhites in the Premier League.

Has Kulusevski been a big miss?

Yes

No

No

The Swede has adapted incredibly well to the Premier League with six goals and 11 assists in just 25 appearances in the English top flight (via Transfermarkt).

And now that Richarlison is expected to be sat on the sidelines through injury, Kulusevski’s one goal and three assists already this season are looking like they could be a big miss if he is set to miss more weeks of game time.
