Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte is open to the idea of signing a new contract with the north London club.

The Italian now has just a matter of months remaining on his current deal with the Lilywhites and reporter Alasdair Gold has been discussing his future on his YouTube channel.

Spurs added to their impressive tally on Saturday with a 2-0 victory over Everton which made this their best-ever start to a Premer League campaign.

There has been a lot of speculation over the last six months as to whether Conte would even see the beginning of this season with the north London club.

However, Gold is now of the belief that the Italian would be willing to commit his future to the Lilywhites with Spurs looking like they are heading in the right direction:

(52:00) “I understand that, you know, he’s very stable right now. He’s very kind of happy. And he, you know, and he would be willing to discuss terms over a new deal as well.

“So it seems like it’s not rocket science really, that it makes complete sense to do that. You know, I understand. Yeah, he would be keen on a new deal despite the fact he told me out in pre-season that, you know: ‘I’m not that fussed about contracts’.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

It has been an impressive start to the new campaign for Spurs with the north London club currently sitting on the same number of points as second-placed Manchester City.

Do you expect Conte to sign a new deal?

Yes

Yes

No

No

And adding to their impressive league start, Spurs sit top of their Champions League group and have done all this with one of their main men, Dejan Kulusevski, sidelined through injury for a number of games.

With Conte also backed financially over the summer window, it certainly does seem as if Spurs is the best place for Conte right now with everyone at the club behind the 53-year-old manager.
