Rangers Review podcaster Derek Clark is “lost for words” at Gers striker Antonio Colak’s ability inside the penalty box.

Clark was speaking on Monday morning’s briefing on the Rangers Review YouTube channel, following the side’s 4-0 Premiership demolition of St. Mirren, a game in which the Croatian scored a brace in.

Colak arrived at Ibrox from Greek side PAOK on a three-year deal for a fee believed to be in the region of £1.8m.

The three-time Croatia international has now nudged ahead of Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos in Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s regular side, with the latter still having not signed a new deal at Ibrox, despite having less than a year remaining on his contract.

And Clark was left delighted at how impressive the forward has been so far this season.

“Rangers were impressive, I enjoyed watching them,” Clark told the Rangers Review (03:41).

“Antonio Colak, I mean it’s silly, I’m lost for words at just how good that guy is in the penalty box.”

TIF Thoughts on Clarke’s comments

We agree with Clarke and think that Colak has been a phenomenal signing for van Bronckhorst’s side this season, and has given the forward line a different outlet in which to aim for.

The 29-year-old has scored 13 goals and provided two assists in 16 appearances for the Gers this season according to Transfermarkt, suggesting that he is well in contention to win the Premiership golden boot award.

Therefore, we think that the signing of the former PAOK striker has proved to be an exceptional piece of business for the Glasgow giants, and at a value of just £1.8m, it could be the best piece of business the Premiership has seen this season.
