Celtic managed to pull off a 2-1 win against Motherwell, although they had to do it controversially with 10 men.
The Bhoys raced into an early 1-0 lead before seeing a Josip Juranovic and Joe Hart defensive mishap allow their opponents back into the game just before the half time whistle, although a Reo Hatate wonder strike sealed all three points.
However, Celtic had to hang on during the final stage of the match when captain Callum McGregor was handed his marching orders for a professional foul as he was deemed to be the last man, although replays show something different.
While there is no debate McGregor did indeed make a professional foul to stop a possible chance, there was a teammate on the cover which wouldn’t have made it a goal-scoring opportunity, so he should have only received a yellow card.
Should McGregor have been sent off?

TIF Thoughts on McGregor’s red card…
It’s not just a defender who appears to be on the cover, but also Joe hart is a considerable distance outside of his box, meaning that it wouldn’t have been a simple finish for the Motherwell player, making it an even more questionable decision.
While this red card didn’t impact the result and Celtic ended up moving back to the top of the SPFL table, McGregor will now have to watch on from the sidelines for a prolonged period of time which will be a blow for both him and Ange Postecogolou.
VAR is set to be introduced into the SPFL in a couple of months which may be a good thing for the game as a decision such as this one would have likely been overturned and thus, McGregor would be able to keep playing for Celtic.
