Presenter Chris Hamill has reflected excitedly on the fact that Celtic signed key wingers Jota and Sead Haksabanovic for a bargain total fee of less than £10m.

Over the summer, manager Ange Postecoglou officially made the two men permanent fixtures of his team and the Hoops really didn’t have to pay much to get the deals done.

Indeed, having spent the prior season on loan – having scored 13 goals – Jota was signed from Benfica on a five-year deal after Celtic triggered the option to buy for a fee of just £6.5m.

On top of that, they also added  Haksabanovic to their ranks. He joined from Russian club Ruben Kazan for an undisclosed fee, which has been reported to be in the region of £2.25m.

It seems as though the duo have been pretty impressive in the eyes of Hamill as he took to Twitter to express his disbelief at the Scottish club’s transfer activity.

He wrote: “Quick reminder that Celtic got Jota and Haksabanovic for UNDER £10m. Daylight robbery.”

Adding to his Tweet, Hamill also included some footage shared by the Celtic social media page which shows Haksabanovic showing great technical skill to bring down a difficult pass from teammate Cameron Carter-Vickers.

So far in his debut season with the Bhoys, the 23-year-old winger has only contributed to one goal – delivering an assist in the league on the weekend – but has clearly shown enough to impress Hamill early on.

On top of that, Jota has continued his fine form after his loan, having scored five times and provided five assists in his first 12 outings for the season so far.

And, of course, both wingers are still only 23. So it’s fair to expect that they could develop into even better players over the coming years, which really would make them bargains.

Who will be the better player for Celtic long term?
