Celtic comfortably advanced to the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup on Wednesday night.

Ange Postecoglou’s side were once again in the scoring mood having scored six times in their latest Scottish Premiership outing last Saturday.

They put four past Motherwell at Fir Park albeit it did take them until the 44th minute to open the scoring.

Liel Abada was on hand to tap in at the back post from a Sead Haksabanovic on that occasion and added the second 11 minutes into the second half as the Hoops emerged 4-0 winners.

Celtic journalist Ryan McGinlay hailed the Israeli for his performance and took to Twitter to predict a very bright future for the 21-year-old.

He said:

‘Just wait til Abada has it all worked out with regards to the rest of his game.

He’s an absolute monster of a player in waiting.’

Glasgow Live were certainly impressed by the winger’s showing in midweek awarding him an 8/10 for his performance.

The highly-rated talent arrived in Glasgow for £3.5m from Maccabi Petah Tikva and has went on to become a ‘revelation’ according to former Ibrox man Alan Hutton.

He enjoyed a fine first campaign with the Bhoys last term scoring 15 times and providing 11 assists in 54 appearances.

The 5 ft 5 forward has continued that strong form this term directly contributing to 10 goals in 15 games and this “outstanding” maestro – as lauded by his manager – has certainly shown signs of a man capable of big things in the future.
