Wolves: Liam Keen points out worrying Bruno Lage claim

According to journalist Liam Keen, the majority of Wolves players headed off done the tunnel at full-time yesterday, as well as Bruno Lage, who didn’t applaud the travelling fans.

It was yet another disappointing performance and result for Wolves and Lage who were beaten 2-0 away from home by a West Ham side who’d only managed to win one league game all season and that’s seen them take up a spot inside the bottom three.

Wolves have won just once in the league all season and equally as worrying, they’ve managed to score just three goals in the Premier League, which is the lowest in the entire division and it seems the pressure may well be starting to get to Lage.

This is because as well as a number of players, Lage appeared to not even have the decency to walk over the thousands of Wolves away supporters and applaud them after the 2-0 defeat, according to Keen:

Should Lage be sacked by Wolves?

‘Only Moutinho, Campbell, Podence, Kilman and Neves approach the Wolves fans to clap them. Plenty of angry supporters and Moutinho raises his hands in apology. Rest of the players and Lage down the tunnel.’

TIF Thoughts on Lage’s position…

Wolves have now won just once in their last 15 league games which stretches all the way back into last season which saw Lage’s side fall away from pushing for a spot in Europe and nothing appears to have changed this time around.

Which former Man United man almost joined Wolves?

While Lage has been rather unlucky when it comes to injuries and form of players with Raul Jimenez not the same player after his head injury with just six league goals since Lage came in and summer singing Sean Kalajdzic suffered an ACL injury on his debut, he should be doing better with what he has.

Lage still has players such as Max Killman, Ruben Neves, Diego Costa and Daniel Podence to call upon and those sorts of players should be way too good for a relegation battle, something Wolves certainly are in at the moment.
