Paul Merson has admitted that he’s worried for manager-less Wolves after watching them struggle in the Premier League last week.
Wolves are still without a manager having parted ways with Bruno Lage earlier this month with the club seemingly pinning their hopes on Julian Lopetegui, only for the Spaniard to turn down the offer.
This has left Wolves reportedly lining up a sensational swoop for former manager Nuno Espirito Santo despite only letting him leave in 2021, and this coupled with the fact they are struggling massively in the final third, Merson is indeed worried for them.
The Sky Sports pundit has voiced his concerns for Wolves and their attacking woes in his latest column for Sportskeeda.
‘I was at Stamford Bridge to watch Wolves play against Chelsea in the Premier League the other day, and I’m a bit worried about what I saw. Wolves played a lot of good football, but they didn’t go anywhere with it. Every time Chelsea had a go, Wolves were so open.’

Some Wolves fans won’t likely believe what is unfolding in front of them having been playing and challenging for Europe not too long ago, whereas now they are certainly involved in an early season relegation scrap.
Wolves are currently the league’s lowest scorers having netted just three times in the Premier League and have also only won one game all season, ensuring they occupy a spot inside the bottom three.
If Wolves can’t find the right manager to turn around this worrying form and fix their attacking woes, then they could be set for a return to the Championship, despite splashing out over £120 million in the summer.
