Journalist Josh Bunting has slammed the idea that Wolves could hire Peter Bosz as their next manager amid some recent links in the media.

The Premier League outfit recently sacked Bruno Lage and so Steve Davis and James Collins have been overseeing the team on an interim basis while the search continues for a new head coach.

One name to pop up as a candidate of late has been Bosz. According to BBC Sport, the former Ajax and Borussia Dortmund boss has been spoken to with regard to the open position.

However, upon hearing the report, it seems as though not all are convinced this would be the best move for Wolves. Indeed, Bunting has labelled the manager as ‘a disaster’ in a damning recent verdict.

He took to Twitter to say: “If I’m Wolves I am not giving Peter Bosz the job, his teams are fun to watch as they can’t defend. Absolutely not the right man in my opinion for that job, he’s a bit of a disaster in my opinion. Just doesn’t get teams organised at all and that is what this Wolves team need to be.”

However, Michael Beale looks set to be the man to take charge at Molineux.

Wolves suffered defeat in their most recent game, losing 2-1 away from home against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. As a result, they now have just nine points in the league, having scored only five goals all season.

With that in mind, they really could do with a new man coming in soon. Still, there would be doubt over Bosz who was sacked from Lyon in October this year amid criticism of creating a team with a ‘team a soft centre’.

As per The Guardian, his former side scored 66 goals last term – only Rennes and PSG managed more – but they also conceded 51 and so finished eighth in Ligue 1.

Seeing as Wolves could do with some goal, you can see why he could be of interest to the club. However, his poor defensive record may not be ideal for success considering the slow start to the season the English club have already endured.
