Presenter ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United defender Craig Dawson is expected to bit fit enough to feature this weekend.

The English centre-back has missed the Hammers’ last four games in all competitions due to a dead leg even though he was nearly deemed ready to play a part in their last Premier League outing.

David Moyes evidently hasn’t felt prepared to rush Dawson back into action and it looked as though he could face the same dilemma later today as West Ham travel to play Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford.

Indeed, in an update shared on The West Ham Way, Ex explained: “Craig Dawson has been out with a double dead leg injury but he has been back in training this week.

“He is expected to be available for today’s game with Moyes needing to make a decision as to whether to throw him straight back into the team, the bench or not risk him at all.”

TIF Thoughts on Craig Dawson and West Ham…

A game away at Old Trafford will never be viewed as a walk in the park, especially with Man United seven places above West Ham in the league going into this game.

And, seeing as the Hammers have won two from two in the top-flight this season, and four from four European appearances, when Dawson has played, Moyes may well be tempted to push the centre-back into his starting team against the Red Devils.

However, the club do have other defenders such as Thilo Kehrer, Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna to call upon if needed, while Nayef Aguerd finally made his debut for the club this week too.

And so, Dawson might not be needed in terms of numbers, but his quality could come in handy on the day and so perhaps he will return to action this weekend.
