Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is being linked with a potential move away in the summer but those around the game are convinced he is settled in N17.

This has been suggested by the reliable journalist David Ornstein who has been speaking on the FIVE YouTube channel ahead of Saturday’s north London derby.

It is believed Bayern Munich have their eyes set on prising Kane away from Spurs in the summer when he will be set to have just one year remaining on his current deal with the club.

This comes just over 12 months on from Kane pushing to move to Manchester City last summer, but it seems as if there has been a change in mindset from the 29-year-old.

Ornstein believes the people he has spoken to insist there is no immediate desire for Kane to leave with Antonio Conte transforming the club’s fortunes:

“Well, you’ve seen the links to Bayern Munich, but you speak to some people around the game and they say they’re convinced that Harry Kane is so settled in this country that they don’t see him playing outside.”

TIF Thoughts on Ornstein’s comments…

This will undoubtedly be music to the ears of all those at Spurs. Life without Kane will barely be imaginable in north London with the striker playing such a big role in the club’s recent history.

Do you expect Kane to sign a new deal?

Yes

Yes

No

No

And although he is nearing the age of 30, the striker is not slowing down with this start to the new campaign defying the early-season ‘curse’ which used to hang over Kane’s head.

Things are looking up for Spurs with Conte at the helm so we think it would be a smart move for the north London club to act whilst this is the case.

Kane is firing in front of goal, and with Bayern lurking, fans will not want to go into next summer with another Kane transfer saga to contend with.
