Alasdair Gold has claimed that nothing is advanced when it comes to the naming rights of Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium.

Reports have emerged recently suggesting that a deal was in the works between Spurs and tech giant Google to acquire the naming rights to their very impressive and modern stadium with the club still yet to strike up a lucrative deal despite opening the stadium in 2019.

Selling the naming rights appears to be the trend right now for clubs looking to bring in more money with Newcastle United also looking to do the same at St James’ Park, but Tottenham are seemingly not close to agreeing a deal with any company, according to Gold.

Journalist Gold has claimed on his YouTube channel that Spurs are not in any advanced talks when it comes to landing a sponsorship deal for the naming rights of their ground.

TIF Thoughts on Spurs’ potential sponsorship talks…

It will likely be mixed views within the Spurs fanbase on the news that nothing is advanced as some will see it as a lot of money to be missing out on, but others won’t want to have a company attach their name to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
