Leeds United slumped to another defeat in the Premier League on Thursday night with pressure now mounting on manager Jesse Marsch.

The word ‘flat’ is perhaps the best way to describe the Whites’ performance and following defeats to Crystal Palace and Arsenal it wasn’t what was required.

Leicester City led 2-0 at half-time through a Robin Koch OG and Harvey Barnes’ strike shortly thereafter.

It’s a result that leaves the club in 16th position and only outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth didn’t hold back in his player ratings following the game giving four players a four while Rasmus Kristensen received a 5/10 as Smyth justified it with the following comment:

‘Tried to get up and down but passing was problematic and looked dreadfully exposed whenever Leicester hit Barnes.

TIF Thoughts on Kristensen and Leeds…

Will Luke Ayling win his spot back in the starting team?

The £10m summer arrival has started all nine games for the west Yorkshire side this season in the Premier League but like many of his teammates the Dane struggled at the King Power Stadium.

While Kristensen won ten of his 11 duels (SofaScore) he was indeed sloppy in possession as Smyth alluded to.

The 25-year-old completed just 59% of his passes by far the worst completion rate among his teammates and lost the ball a game-high 23 times.

Luke Ayling recently made his return to action and while he is still working his way to full fitness the long-time servant could well find his place in the side sooner rather than later.
