Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch could be facing the sack if he doesn’t turnaround results soon at Elland Road.

That is according to talkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan, who was speaking on the station on Monday, following the side’s 3-2 defeat to Fulham on Sunday.

Leeds’ defeat was their eighth game in a row without victory, meaning that the Whites have now slipped into the Premier League relegation zone after 11 games.

According to LeedsLive reporter Beren Cross, the Elland Road faithful were ‘having it out’ with Marsch following the full-time whistle in Sunday’s clash, putting Marsch under further pressure.

And Jordan believes that the American head coach may not have that long left in the dugout at the club, if results don’t turn around quickly.

“I don’t think Leeds’ results sometimes are reflective of their performances,” Jordan told talkSPORT.

“But if you look at the results over the last four or five games, if this continues much longer, he’s gone. He will be gone.”

TIF Thoughts on Jordan’s comments…

Unfortunately for Marsch, we have to agree with Jordan and struggle to see a way back for the former RB Leipzig manager if the club are unable to salvage points from their next two fixtures with Liverpool and Bournemouth.

If relegation from the Premier League becomes a serious threat for the Yorkshire side, then director of football Victor Orta may be forced into action and a managerial change may be required.

Therefore, we don’t believe the future looks bright for Marsch at Elland Road, as we struggle to see how they will get anything out of their trip to Anfield next weekend, but there may be hope when Bournemouth visit Elland Road the week after.
