YouTuber Joe Wainman has admitted that he’s still confident Leeds United could sign transfer target Christian Pulisic.

Leeds have recently been linked with a move for American international and Champions League ace Pulisic amidst their growing American contingent at Elland Road having brought in Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams over the summer.

While Pulisic would be a major coup for Leeds given his experience at the very top of the game, the fact that Thomas Tuchel has now departed Chelsea could be bad news for the Whites as Pulisic is supposedly excited for a fresh start under new boss Graham Potter.

Despite these recent comments from Pulisic, Wainman has claimed on his YouTube channel that he’s hopeful of Leeds landing Pulisic.

“I was very excited by the potential signing of Christian Pulisic, another one from the American conglomerate – let’s complete it, let’s complete the set.

Do you want Leeds to sign Pulisic?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

“However, he’s been doing an interview and was asked about him potentially leaving Chelsea in January and he said, ‘look, I’m feeling good going back, I have a fresh start now, I’m excited to play for a new manager, really looking forward to it, I just have to prove myself as everyone else does.

“Now, of course, he’s not going to come out and say, ‘I can’t really be bothered going back to Chelsea and Graham Potter’ etc, etc. But I understand why he’s saying this. But I still feel there is an opportunity for us to go and get Christian Pulisic signed, fingers crossed because for me, just even from a commercial standpoint, he would do huge for the club as well, but he is a talented player.”

TIF Thoughts on interest in Pulisic…

Despite his rather limited starts in the Premier League since joining Chelsea, just 51 since he made his debut back in 2019, Pulisic has managed to register 27 goal involvements, which is a very healthy return.

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

While it appeared quite obvious Pulisic was keen on a move away from Stamford Bridge over the summer, with a new manager at the helm it seems as though Pulisic is now keen to prove himself at Chelsea.

Unless things stay the same under Potter and Pulisic is restricted to mainly appearances off the bench, then it appears unlikely that Pulisic will be itching for a move away straight after this winter’s World Cup, which could be a huge blow for Leeds and Victor Orta.
