Tottenham dropped further points in their latest Champions League outing as they were held to a 0-0 draw in Germany.
Off the back of a disappointing north London derby defeat, Spurs were back in action on the continent but once again looked less than convincing.
Antonio Conte’s side had to settle for a point against Eintracht Frankfurt in matchday three of Group D.
It’s now a win, a draw, and a defeat for the Lilywhites as they sit second on goal difference in a fiercely competitive quartet.
A sub-par night once again in Europe and Alasdair Gold was quick to criticise Hugo Lloris in his match ratings.
He gave the veteran shot-stopper a 5/10 for his performance and justified it with the following comment:
‘Another poor day with his feet despite doing plenty of kicking drills in the warm-up before the game. A couple of sliced kicks when trying to make clearances although he didn’t have much to do with his hands until a good save to deny Knauff five minutes into the second half. Put Romero into a problematic position with an iffy pass not long after.’

One man who arguably deserved more of the criticism was Harry Kane who had an off day. He had a pass success rate of just 61%, had 50% of his shots go off target and just 45 touches in the game.
The Evening Standard called out the Frenchman for his ‘dreadful distribution’ against Arsenal at the weekend but unlike Saturday when he spilled Bukayo Saka’s shot and allowed Gabriel Jesus to score he was at least up to the task with his hands in Frankfurt.
He made two saves, one from inside the box and three successful run-outs while according to SofaScore he actually completed 26 of his 29 passes.
But amid the links to Jan Oblak it would seem apparent that Spurs are thinking about their long-term future between the sticks.
Displays like his in the past couple of games could certainly see Lloris phased out of the team sooner rather than later.
