The sister of Everton and England defender Conor Coady has posted an intriguing message that has circulated on social media involving former Wolves boss Bruno Lage.

The post comes after the sacking of Coady’s former manager, Bruno Lage, who was relieved of his duties at the weekend after his side’s poor start to the season.

Coady, who scored in Everton’s 2-1 victory at Southampton on Saturday, had been loaned to the Toffees from Wolves after he was not likely to be included in the Portuguese manager’s first-team plans this term.

The 10-time England international had made 317 appearances over a seven-year spell in the West Midlands, but departed for Goodison Park after being dropped for the side’s first Premier League game of the season at Leeds United.

And Coady’s sister has implied that there could have been a potential issue with Lage following a Facebook post.

The post reads: “The weekend that keeps on giving,” followed by a picture of the centre-back celebrating his equalising goal at Southampton, alongside a picture of Lage.

TIF Thoughts on Coady’s sister’s post…

We believe that this post implies that there may have been some type of fallout or bad blood between the former Wolves captain and Lage, but we feel that the Molineux side’s loss is Everton’s gain.

The Liverpool-born centre-back has played in all seven Premier League games since his arrival at Goodison Park this season, providing one goal and one assist, according to Transfermarkt.

Frank Lampard’s side have conceded the lowest number of goals in the Premier League following the weekend’s results, suggesting that  the likes of Coady and James Tarkowski have been able to provide a defensive stability to match that of the rest of the league.

And an average SofaScore rating of 6.99 for the current Premier League campaign would suggest that the defender has performed to a consistently solid level this season, proving that Lampard was right to bring him in on a season-long loan.

Therefore, we believe that Everton have hugely benefited from a potential rift between Coady and Lage, and fans of the Merseyside club will be delighted that it has worked out in their favour.
