Everton and England centre-back Conor Coady has been described as “absolutely sensational.”

That is the opinion of beIN Sports presenter Richard Keys, who was speaking on the Keys and Gray: The Podcast about the latest Premier League news.

Coady joined the Toffees on a season-long loan with an option to buy from Wolverhampton Wanderers in August, after former Wolves head coach Bruno Lage deemed him surplus to requirements at Molineux.

The Merseyside club have the option to make the deal permanent for just £4.5m at the end of his initial loan spell, with his parent club lowering the price due to his seven years of service to the West Midlands club.

And Richard Keys believes it’s no surprise that Frank Lampard is hoping to secure his signature next summer, and says that it will be “really good business.”

“Everton, eager to make the Coady deal permanent. Well, that comes as no surprise,” Keys told Keys and Gray: The Podcast (06:32).

“He’s been absolutely sensational, really good business.”

TIF Thoughts on Keys’ comments

We believe that Keys’ opinion is correct in this instance, with the 29-year-old defender proving to be a really smart buy for the Goodison Park side this season.

The ten-time England international is currently part of a backline that have conceded the joint-least number of goals in the Premier League after nine games, having only shipped nine goals so far.

And at £4.5m, we think that this is a fantastic deal for Everton, and Wolves will be regretting allowing such an important figure leave the club for a ridiculously cheap price.
