West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Bruce should be expecting to have some “serious ramifications” for the performance of his side so far this season.

That is according to talkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan, who was speaking on the station about his thoughts on the state of play at the Hawthorns at the moment.

Albion go into this weekend’s fixture with Luton Town in the Championship relegation zone, after they were backed to be one of the favourites for promotion at the beginning of the season.

However, it has not gone to plan so far for Bruce this season, and Wednesday evening’s 1-0 defeat at Preston North End leaves the Baggies sitting in 22nd in the league, having won one game out of 12 heading into Saturday’s game.

And Jordan believes that the former Newcastle United’s win rate of 25% is likely to end up in a manager getting the sack.

“You cannot go to West Bromwich Albion as the person that’s designed to bring them back into the situation where they get out of the league and take them to third to bottom in it, and not expect to have some serious ramifications of it,” Jordan told talkSPORT.

“A 25% win-rate at a club that’s set up to be getting promoted is going to get you the sack.”

TIF Thoughts on Jordan’s comments…

We agree with Jordan and believe that Bruce’s position at The Hawthorns is becoming more untenable by the game, and a sacking seems inevitable at this point.

It seems that it would take a drastic turn of fortunes to see Albion troubling contenders at the top of the Championship table at the moment, despite the fact the club will have had pre-season hopes of promotion.

Therefore, we think that now is probably the time for change in the dugout for the West Midlands side, as we head ever closer to the break for the World Cup.
