Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich who will be keeping a keen eye on his contract situation.

This has been suggested by the journalist Pete O’Rourke who has been speaking to GiveMeSport about the 29-year-old’s future in north London.

There have been strong reports coming from Italy suggesting the Bundesliga champions will keep an eye on the Spurs striker ahead of next summer’s transfer window.

Kane is now playing into the final two years of his deal at Spurs but there have been suggestions that he would be open to listening to potential offers on a new deal.

But with his long-term future not yet tied down in N17, O’Rourke feels the German giants could offer him with an intriguing offer next summer:

“I’m sure Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Kane’s future at Tottenham,” said O’Rourke.

“If a new deal can’t be agreed there, I’m sure they will be among a host of clubs who would love to sign Harry Kane.”

TIF Thoughts on O’Rourke’s comments…

Kane has started off the new campaign in sensational style with six goals and one assist in his opening seven Premier League games (via Transfermarkt).

Do you expect Kane to sign a new deal?

Yes

Yes

No

No

And there has been a heavy reliance on the Englishman so far this season with Son Heung-min struggling to get up and running until Saturday when he netted a hat-trick.

The obvious stick to beat Kane with is that he is closing in on the age of 30 without any silverware to his name, so we do wonder how this may fall into his thinking come next summer.

However, even if Spurs do fail to win a trophy this season, Kane does still have the carrot of Alan Shearer’s Premier League tally to chase which may prove a sticking point to prise him away from England.
