Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte is not in contact with Juventus over the possibility of rejoining the Serie A side.

This is according to the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who has been speaking on his latest YouTube video about the reports surrounding the 53-year-old Spurs boss.

It has been suggested the struggling side from Turin could look to offload Massimiliano Allegri from his role at the Old Lady with Juventus currently slumped down in eighth spot of the table.

And it is the Spurs boss who is now being linked with a potential return to the club he left back in 2014 as his current deal in north London enters its final season.

Despite the links to a possible return to Turin, Romano has insisted there has been no contact and there is nothing going on between the two parties:

“Guys, at the moment, from what I told, Juventus are not in the process to fire Massimiliano Allegri. He will continue with Juventus. Nothing will happen during the international break. He will have the chance to change the situation that is a worrying situation.”

“Antonio Conte has a really huge contract, a huge salary. So at the moment with these links also because of the financial situation, there is absolutely nothing going on between Conte and Juventus like contacts, negotiations, discussions.”

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s comments…

This will certainly be music to the ears of all Spurs fans with the reports coming at a time when Spurs are flying in the Premier League, sitting just one point off the current league leaders.

Will Levy be able to keep Conte at Spurs?

Yes

Yes

No

No

However, we think this is likely a scenario which will not disappear anytime soon with it only providing the Italian leverage to demand from the Spurs hierarchy.

With less than a year remaining on his deal, Conte certainly holds the power but – as long as he is committed to Spurs – it could certainly benefit the club.

Conte has already made his demands known for the Spurs board and they provided the cash in the summer, hopefully, this could be the case come January and next summer.
