Celtic fans will be delighted with Greg Taylor’s current performances at left-back for the Scottish champions.
That is according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, who was speaking to This is Futbol about the latest news from Celtic Park.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have made the best start possible in their defence of the Scottish Premiership title, winning six league games from six including a 4-0 drubbing of fierce rivals Rangers at Celtic Park earlier this month, to top the league table in the early stages of the season.
And Taylor, who has been described as “really impressive” by Football Scotland journalist Euan Robertson, has played his part in that, playing in every minute of the Glasgow giants’ league campaign so far this season.
“For Celtic fans, it’s a positive all-round seeing Greg Taylor producing his best football, and if he continues to play well, he’ll keep that shirt ahead of Bernabei.”
TIF Thoughts on O’Rourke’s comments
We agree with O’Rourke and believe that the form of Taylor can only be a positive for Celtic fans at the moment, and it shows that the seven-time Scotland international has not been fazed by the £3.75m arrival of Lanus and Argentina U23 left-back Alexandro Bernabei.
The 24-year-old’s exceptional performances so far this campaign have earned him an average SofaScore rating of 7.20 for his performances in the Premiership, suggesting that the full-back has performed to an incredibly consistent standard so far this campaign.
Therefore, we believe that Celtic fans will be delighted with the form of Taylor so far this season, and will be hoping that his form can continue to increase their chances of both retaining the Premiership title, as well as a European run.
