Ange Postecoglou’s side were beaten away at St. Mirren thanks to goals from Mark O’Hara just before half-time and sealed the three points after Jonah Ayunga headed home from close range, beating Joe Hart.
McGinlay took to Twitter to air his disgust at defender Jenz for his role in helping St. Mirren score their first goal as he was called out for a ‘lazy header’ and was told he has to do better in that situation.
McGinlay wrote, “Lazy header from Jenz in the lead-up to their goal. Got to do better.”
Lazy header from Jenz in the lead-up to their goal.
Got to do better.

TIF thoughts on McGinlay’s comments…
While Jenz certainly did not help his side with the first goal, he was their best centre-back throughout the game when you look at his Sofascore rating, where he was awarded a 7.3 for his efforts.
During the 90 minutes, he spent on the pitch, Jenz picked up three clearances, two interceptions and five tackles. He also won five of his eight ground duels and had 96% passing accuracy from 86/90 attempts.
There is no doubt this result is surprising and has now allowed their rivals Rangers to get back into the title race, but Jenz played well during the game. His mistake for the goal was just a blip in an otherwise solid performance. He has to do better in that situation, however.
Was Jenz at fault for the first goal?
