Journalist Jacque Talbot has been speaking on his YouTube channel about rumours suggesting Adama Traore could be leaving Wolves.
It’s been an interesting career thus far for Traore, who has turned out for several clubs in England with little success, especially in the Premier League with just 22 goal involvements in 164 appearances – although that didn’t stop him being signed by Barcelona last January.
Despite his clear lack of attacking output in the final third over the last few seasons in particular, European giants Juventus are said to still be monitoring the Spanish winger and are keen on his services with less than 12 months left on his contract.
Talbot has been speaking about a recent rumour suggesting Juventus are looking at Traore, and this is what he had to say:
“That is agent-generated because I just do not believe that the Birmingham Mail have solid Juventus contacts, basically – so it’s the agent who has informed the local reporters of that happening.
Has Traore been a flop at Wolves?
Yes!
No!
“They probably made the connection because Adama Traore, there’s been a lot of transfer news around him the past couple of years, so they probably met, the Birmingham Mail people probably linked up with them, so it’s not-not true by the way – when I say agent-generated, it’s not-not true.”
TIF Thoughts on Traore’s future…
It would make sense for Juventus to be looking at someone such as Traore as he has quite scary speed and acceleration when he gets going, and that is surely a weapon any side would like to utilise. Meanwhile, the Old Lady are able to offer Traore a pre-contract in January.
This is because Traore has not yet put pen to paper over a new deal at Molineux, which saw him head out on loan last January to get game time and his wages off the book temporarily. But after failing to start a league game this season, the writing appears to be on the wall.
If Traore was to leave in either January or the summer on a pre-contract deal, or even as a free agent, he will be departing after five seasons with Wolves, so it could be argued that his fortunes are unlikely to take a dramatic turn for the better.
