Yerson Mosquera has poked fun at the newest Wolves signing Diego Costa following their latest training session.

As a whole host of Wolves players jetted off around the world to represent their respective countries, many were left behind and thus, have been put through their paces by Bruno Lage at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground.

Some of the players that have been spotted in training while their teammates are off playing competitive matches are Daniel Podence, Adama Traore, Mosquera and new boy Costa, with the latter slowly building up his fitness level.

Despite the veteran striker having not played a match since last December, Mosquera couldn’t help himself but have a dig at his teammate, posting on Instagram a picture of the pair with the caption translated into English as ‘Very easy friend’ with the two of them seemingly doing a physical exercise together.

Will Costa be a success at Wolves?

TIF Thoughts on this post…

Despite having only joined Wolves very recently, Mosquera clearly feels as though his relationship with Costa is good enough to send a dig his way about the striker’s strength, something he will be looking to build up quickly.

Costa himself has admitted that it will take several weeks for him to build up his fitness levels and then be ready to start in a Premier League game, something he hasn’t done since 2017 when he was playing for Chelsea.

Which former Man United man almost joined Wolves?

Lage and Wolves will be hoping that Costa can get himself up to speed as quickly as possible with both Raul Jimenez and Sasa Kalakdzic both set for periods of time on the sidelines due to injury, leaving them with just the out-of-form Hwang Hee-chan to lead the line.
