Presenter Dan Lawless has claimed that ‘clock is ticking’ for David Moyes after stats show he has now won just twice in the last 14 West Ham United league games.

Over the weekend, the Hammers suffered defeat in the Premier League for the fifth time already this season, leaving them 18th in the division as a result.

Indeed, in an away trip to Goodison Park, West Ham lost 1-0 to Everton thanks to a single goal from striker Neil Maupay – condemning the Irons to a place in the relegation zone heading into the international break.

As a result, the club have only one win in seven this term, and last season in the league they also won just one of their last seven games (a 4-0 win over Norwich City) – meaning the Hammers are on a poor run of form with two wins in 14 outings.

This stat was shared on Twitter by West Ham Premier and Lawless reacted with his own Tweet saying: “This is shocking, the clock is ticking Moyes.”

TIF thoughts on David Moyes and West Ham…

Considering the board backed Moyes in a big way this summer – as they provided funds for high-profile transfers such as Lucas Paqueta, Gianluca Scamacca, Maxwel Cornet and Thilo Kehrer – expectations will be higher for the club this term.

Worrying, though, Looking at those recent stats, it’s safe to say West Ham are not playing well and have not done so for quite some time.

Moyes has been in charge of the club since 2019, taking charge for the second time – having led the Hammers to Premier League safety in a seven-month spell back in November 2017 – but it feels as though his time with the Irons could be reaching a conclusion.

Indeed, the longer the poor run of form continues, the more people (just like Lawless) will claim time is running out for the manager.
