Tottenham Hotspur fans will have no doubt been worried after hearing of Ivan Perisic being taken off during Croatia’s international fixture against Denmark due to clashing with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Lilywhites are away to Arsenal next Saturday and with Ben Davies seemingly injured too, it would come as a big blow if Antonio Conte was to lose the Croatian.
However, the wing-back has now offered some hope for supporters as he’s taken to Instagram to share a couple of images which appear to show him in full training.
Indeed, Perisic first showed himself running in full flight during the training session in Austria. Then he also shared an image of himself launching into the air for an effort at goal during the training session in Vienna.
TIF thoughts on Perisic’s posts…
Of course, Perisic’s posts don’t confirm anything but the signs are certainly positive, with him seemingly taking part in full training and having the ability to jump after the injury scare recently.
It’s safe to say that the experienced international has settled into life in the English capital nicely as he currently finds himself as the club’s joint-top assist producer in the Premier League with three. As well as this he averages an impressive 1.6 key passes per game, a team-high 2 crosses per game, 1.4 tackles per game and 0.9 dribbles per game (WhoScored).
So, with table-toppers and north London rivals Arsenal up next, it would be great for Conte to have his star left wing-back at his disposal.
