Journalist Rob Guest has been left buzzing over the form of Tottenham Hotspur player Destiny Udogie while he is out on loan.
During the past summer transfer market, Spurs went out and signed the left-back for an initial £15m (with some performance-related bonuses on top.
Indeed, in a recent Tweet, Guest outlined just how impressed he has been over in Italy, writing: “Destiny Udogie is making a real name for himself in Serie A.”
TIF thoughts on Destiny Udogie and Spurs…
Considering both Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon have had to share minutes at left wing-back so far this term, there is no guarantee that Udogie would have played much had he joined Spurs instead of going out on loan.
And considering he has started six out of six games in Serie A this season, providing two assists in that time, it’s fair to say he has been thriving with the regular football.
Guest also shared his recent article for football.london when writing the Tweet, in which he claimed that Udogie has demonstrated so far this campaign that he is ‘one of the best full-backs’ in Italy.
He also highlighted the player’s strengths which have been on display, noting his ‘athleticism’ as he looks to link up with the attack, as well as his ability to make ‘key tackles’ when needed too.
It certainly looks as though the decision to loan Udogie is benefiting all parties involved.
