Alasdair Gold has admitted on his YouTube channel that he isn’t convinced Harry Kane, Richarlison and Son Heung-min can work together for Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite hitting the ground running when he arrived during the January transfer window, Kulusevski has not found things as easy this season with just one goal across all competitions thus far in his nine appearances.

This has seen him also relegated to the bench in recent weeks with his last start for Tottenham coming back in August when Spurs drew against London rivals West Ham 1-1- and since then, Richarlison has been preferred.

However, Gold isn’t convinced by that trio and believes they are all a bit too similar.

(43:00) “I do think a lot of the issues came from the inability of the front three to click, it’s very early days I don’t want to go too overboard on it I’m going to very closely watch to see whether the Richarlison, Kane and Son trio works.

Do you want Kulusevski to start this weekend?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

“My gut feeling and again it’s very early days so could prove to be very different, I do wonder whether Son and Richarlison are too familiar in the way they play.”

TIF Thoughts on Spurs’ attacking trio…

It will certainly be a difficult situation to address for Antonio Conte as he must decide which of his attacking quartet are to miss out against out-of-form Leicester City, but the stats point towards it being Son Heung-min.

How well do you know where these Spurs signings came from? Take our quiz to find out! Firstly, where did Dimitar Berbatov arrive from?

This is because out of the four players, Son is the only one yet to get off the mark in terms of goalscoring in any competition, although Richarlison is still yet to score his first Spurs goal in the Premier League.

Also, the fact that the other three players, Kane, Richarlison and Kulusevski all boast a better record when it comes to shot-creating actions per 90 minutes than Son, so there is very little reason for Conte to keep persisting with the South Korean.
