This weekend sees the much-anticipated return of the Premier League, with a full fixture list across England’s top tier.

As the matches begin to come thick and fast, make sure to keep up to date with all the latest updates, stats and live scores from all the Premier League matches via the Flashscore app and website.

But ahead of this weekend’s action, here are three matches to watch out for in the Premier League.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur

What better way for the Premier League to return than with a North London derby as the Saturday early kick-off, with Tottenham Hotspur travelling to the Emirates Stadium to face leaders Arsenal.

While they may be two places below their closest rivals, Tottenham enter the weekend unbeaten and will be keen to build on their recent 6-2 triumph over Leicester City.

It’s been a similarly impressive start to the campaign for Arsenal, who bounced back from their first defeat of the season against Manchester United with a commanding 3-0 victory over Brentford last time out.

Perfectly poised, both Arsenal and Spurs will be confident heading into the weekend clash, but it’s the visitors who hold their better head-to-head record.

Tottenham have lost just two of their last eight meetings with Arsenal, and extending that record will be the target for Spurs in the first match of the Premier League weekend.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea

It’s almost a month since either Crystal Palace or Chelsea last took to the pitch in the Premier League, with plenty riding on Saturday’s clash at Selhurst Park.

Sitting just above the relegation zone, Palace’s tally of six points from six games is not the start Patrick Viera would’ve hoped for.

While they may have conceded the same number of goals and scored just one fewer, there is a nine place gap in the table between Palace and Saturday’s opponents Chelsea.

Following a disappointing draw to Red Bull Salzburg in his opening game in charge, new boss Graham Potter will be eyeing up three points in his first Premier League outing.

History is on the side of Chelsea, who have won their last 10 matches against Palace, while last losing at Selhurst Park in October 2017.

Manchester City vs Manchester United

Perhaps the standout clash from this weekend’s fixture list, reigning champions Manchester City will welcome their city rivals United for the first instalment of the Manchester derby.

One of two sides along with Spurs who are still unbeaten, City start proceedings in second-placed, one point and one position behind leaders Arsenal.

The form of Erling Haaland has already caught the eye, with the Norwegian international already boasting 11 Premier League goals to his name.

United are in a strong run of form themselves, with Erik ten Hag’s side having taken three points in each of their last four Premier League outings.

A strong record at the Etihad Stadium will inspire United, as they have won three of their last four matches away to City.
