Lee Ryder has reacted to a big Newcastle United injury update while speaking on his YouTube channel.

Eddie Howe has been addressing the media prior to Newcastle’s clash at home to Bournemouth as the Magpies go in search of what will be just their second win of the season after picking up three points in their first game of the campaign.

Something that could hand Newcastle and Howe a major boost would be the return of recently absent trio Bruno Guimaraes, Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson, and the manager hinted at some possible positive news.

Ryder has claimed that Howe informed the media that all three of those players have improved in their attempts to get back to full fitness.

(0:30) “So the big question obviously was about the three injured players, Bruno Guimaraes, Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson, we didn’t expect Eddie Howe to name his team sheet in the press conference, but the encouraging news is he said that all three have improved.

“So maybe there’s a prospect of at least one of those players being available against Bournemouth this weekend.”

TIF Thoughts on Newcastle’s three injured players…

It would be a major boost for Howe to be able to call upon all three of those recently injured players but that does appear unlikely, especially given it was yet another hamstring injury to Callum Wilson, so he likely won’t be risked, especially when Alexander Isak is available.

Saint-Maximin would certainly be a player that Howe would love to call upon given his influence and huge role within the team because despite only starting four games this season he’s completed the most dribbles and registered both the most shot and goal-creating actions within the side (FBRef).

How well do you remember Newcastle's January transfer window? An easy one to start with: where did Newcastle sign Bruno Guimaraes from?

Then with Guimaraes, he just makes Newcastle a much classier outfit as his ability both on and off the ball to read the game is unmatched by players in black and white, which is showcased in this clip, and since he missed the match at Liverpool, Newcastle haven’t won a game.
