Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Liverpool will certainly try and sign Jude Bellingham next summer.

In the latter stages of the past window, it became apparent that the Reds were keen on bringing in a new midfielder – with Jurgen Klopp even admitting that the club would be hoping to sign someone.

That was backed up by the fact that they managed to bring in Arthur Melo from Juventus on loan for a season with an option to buy for £32m.

While that may have solved the issue for now, it certainly doesn’t look as if that will put an end to the club’s plans for improving their team in the longer term.

Indeed, while speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano revealed that Liverpool are still ‘dreaming’ of Bellingham and will hope to fight off ‘crazy’ competition for his signature next summer.

He said: “Be sure that next summer, Liverpool will go for a really important midfielder.

“[They are] dreaming again of Jude Bellingham, but it will be a crazy race with many clubs involved.”

TIF Thoughts on Jude Bellingham and Liverpool…

With the likes of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain left out of the club’s Champions League squad, and other options such as James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Thiago all in their 30s, it’s not hard to see why Klopp may want to add some youth to his team.

Still only 19 years of age, Bellingham certainly would be an exciting prospect. Indeed, despite his tender age, he already has 15 senior caps for England and is approaching his 100th game at Borussia Dortmund.

And with 11 goals and 19 assists for the German outfit in that time, he certainly knows how to make an impact in attack as well. Naturally, being such a talent, he will likely draw plenty of attention from other clubs as Romano suggests, so Liverpool may face a complicated summer trying to land him – but at the very least, it looks like that’s the plan.
