Presenter Joe Wainman has claimed that Leeds United are close to a ‘10/10 window’ as they look set to sign Bamba Dieng – but would still need a left-back.
As we enter the final stages of the summer market, it looks as though the Whites may finally be about to add a new attacker to their ranks.
Indeed, according to Phil Hay from The Athletic, after failing with approaches for Cody Gakpo and Hwang Hee-chan, Leeds are now discussing a deal for Marseille forward Dieng, with a transfer seemingly set to go through.
In reaction to this news, Wainman explained that if they can get that deal across the line, the club would be just a left-back away from having a ‘ten out ten window.’
Speaking on the JustJoe Football Show, he said: “If we get someone in, and Dieng can play centre-forward, questions marks over his hold-up play, from what I’ve read, and ideally we need that.
Not sure but I think i have just figured out Marsch ‘s game plan…. praying that our opponents have a bad day in front of goal and failed to score while also praying that our own inept attacking players somehow manage to score !!! Not sure it is a great plan but these American’s are willing to try anything. Got help us
